Bio

I started boxing from the age of 10 years old until I was 18, then decided to knock it on the head. I’d had 49 fights as an amateur, winning 43 and captured numerous Welsh and British titles as a school boy.

When my son turned 8, he asked me if he could go boxing, so I took him to a gym, which was run by boys that I had captained in the Welsh squad. I started hitting the bag and it was then when I fell back in love with the sport.

I then took an unlicensed bare knuckle fight for a company called TGAO (The Gloves are Off) for a British title. I ended up capturing that by knocking the boy out in 48 seconds of the first round and realised that there was potentially a future ahead.

I then went on to take a gloved fight for a local promotion called Welsh Combat series, winning that by a unanimous decision.

I then got put forward to make my debut for BKB on 7 days notice. I went up to the O2 arena and got caught with a shot, splitting my lip and breaking my jaw. I was promised by the promotion for another fight. It took months to heal before I was ready to go again.

I was then offered a second fight, and ended up knocking the lad down 4 times in the first round before the ref stepped in to wave the fight off.

I then had the opportunity to fight in a cross promotion show back at the O2 in the Mighty Trigon, which is the smallest ring in Combat Sports, winning that also and capturing fight of the night, the fight then went up for a vote and we ended up winning Fight of the Year, for an American based company.

This led me to a British title contention. I fought a guy over 5 rounds, knocking him down 4 times in an epic fight, one of my best performances to date to capture the BKBTM British title.

I’m just a small boy from the Valley’s, who had big dreams and ambition and they come to reality that night, in a fight to be remembered.

Who Inspires You?

My inspiration since watching BKB was always Sean George, and I had the pleasure in helping him get ready for one of his fights. It’s a moment I will never forget, he’s a true icon in the sport and was a pleasure to share the ring with him.

What Motivates You?

My motivation was just to see how far I could go. I have the British title. I really want to capture the 2 remaining belts at my weight and to be able to say I am the best at 66kg for one of the biggest promotions in my sport!

Favourite Tune to Train To?

I’m an easy listening kind of guy, as long as there is music playing on in the background, then I can get a rhythm going.

Why Fireball Labz?

I got put forward to Fireball Labz by my mentor, who has become more of a friend over the past year. I’ve seen a good few other BKB lads over the years, representing Fireball Labz  and I highly recommend their products….they are best about!
