About Martin Murray

Born in 1982, Martin Murray is a British Professional Boxer who has competed since 2007, with a first victory over Jamie Ambler and fought once more during 2007 to finish the year with a 2-0 record. Throughout 2008, Murray fought 7 more times, securing 7 more victories over a series of opponents.

In July 2010, Murray fought for his first professional title, going the full distance of 12 rounds against Peter Mitrevski, winning on unanimous points and earning himself the Commonwealth title. Later in 2010, he followed up with a victory against Brazilian Carlos Nascimento, securing himself a second title, WBA Interim Middleweight.

In 2011, Martin retained his WBA Middleweight title when fighting Felix Sturm in Germany. Going the full 12 rounds, the result being scored as a draw.

Throughout his boxing career, Murray has made 4 attempts for the World WBA Title.
